In the fundamental monograph, the creatively, unremarkably thinking Dutch researcher Hans Ibelings, the architecture of the 20th century is considered comprehensively – the author’s attention is not focused on the architecture of mainly Western Europe. Considering architectural styles and directions, he draws many parallels between the work of masters of different countries and regions of Europe. The book contains a critical outline of the main works on the history of European architecture. The last four chapters are devoted to the pre -war, interwar, post -war and newest periods of architecture development.
