Drives and neuroses: Sigmund Freud

As follows from the name of the book, it contains the work of 3. Freud, devoted to the study of one of the main subjects of psychoanalysis – neurosis, which the scientist considers as a result of the conflict between different parts of the psyche. Since this conflict, in the interpretation of Freud, is associated with the impossibility of realizing unconscious drives and their suppression from consciousness into an unconscious or replacing an object or need (which is why a neurosis arises), it seemed logical to include the most vivid work of the scientist about the nature and evolution of drives. Scientific, technical, social and sexual revolutions exacerbated the sensitivity of the nervous system of modern man and increased the likelihood of his neurotic reaction to many events. This is probably why interest in the theory of neurosis Freud does not run out today.
