For the first time, the diaries and correspondence of the last years of the life of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich (1878-1918), the younger brother of Nicholas II, in whose favor on March 2, 1917 the emperor renounced the throne. Refusing to accept autocratic power before the decision of the Constituent Assembly, Mikhail Alexandrovich was soon arrested, exiled to Perm and in June 1918 was shot by the Bolsheviks.
The publication is equipped with scientific commentary and rare documentary photographs, the materials themselves were not previously published.
