The published work combines two reports read in the Hungarian and Berlin psychoanalytic societies in 1919 and 1921, respectively.
It describes the case of raising a child who is vividly interested in the issues of the existence of God, the origin of man, the manifestations of his body, etc. Both the first and second parts are shown how the displacement mechanism actively acts in the child. In the first case, when education is not accompanied by sexual education, in the second – as a mechanism, an immanent children’s soul. Both messages are saturated with examples of the statements of the child, his games and actions. M. Klein is attentive to the slightest details of how a sense of reality develops in the child and the experience of relationships with others is gained. At the end of the work, she expresses optimistic assumptions about early analytical intervention in education.
