Giovanni Bokkaccio (1313-1375) is an Italian humanist writer of the early Renaissance, reflecting in his works not only the multicolor panorama of Italian customs, but also the concept of the social ethics of the new society. Boccaccio’s work had a great influence on the further development of realism not only in the literature of the Renaissance, but later – in the XVII and XVIII centuries.
The second volume publishes the end of the book “Decameron” (6-10 days), consisting of exciting short stories, which in our time are of a keen interest for the modern reader.
