The collection presents the correspondence of S.B. Veselovsky with domestic historians, stored in the archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences, mainly for a decade preceding the 1917 revolution, and during the first years after its completion. The atmosphere of the life of the creative intelligentsia, scientific activity and life, the tragic events at the time of the First World War, the revolution and the years of repression are reflected. The collection includes letters from SB Veselovsky from Tashkent during the Great Patriotic War and in the last years of life, testifying to the difficult circumstances of the fate and the activities of the scientist.
