A wonderful autobiographical novel, which she never intended to compose, if you develop my imagination according to the traditional trajectory, then the first volume of the diaries, “re -born”, will be a novel of education – its “Buddenbrooki” (recalling the monumental work of Mann) or, on a more chamber note, her “Martin Iden” (Roman London, who was in my youth. I spoke with tenderness until the end of my life).
