Mikhail Mikhailovich Zoshchenko (1894-1958) was a faithful follower of the unfading tradition of classical Russian antiquity, where laughter was never a third-party laughter, where civil content was always running from heart pain behind an external cheerful form. With the seeming unpretentiousness of any of his stories, at first glance small on the topic and trifling in thought, Zoshchenko always lurked with explosive power, the living problem of the day.
The third volume of the collected works included the story “Returned Youth”, a book of stories “Blue Book” and “Letters to the Writer”.
