The work of the Danish writer of the 19th century (1805-1875), who went down in the history of literature as a brilliant storyteller, is presented in the publication in full and in the translated translating as close as possible to the original. The chronological order of the location of the works makes it possible to trace the development of the writer’s talent, to feel the charm of an amazing combination of romance and realism, imagination and humor, faith in the triumph of the ideals of good and beauty.
The first volume of the works included Andersen’s tales, most of which are rightfully considered the classic of world literature.
The second volume includes more than sixty fairy tales created by the author. The plot of works is based on popular beliefs and legends. Author’s notes talk in detail about the history of the creation of each fairy tale.
