The book is a collection of selected works of the outstanding Caucasian scholar of the 19th century Evgeny Gustavovich Vaidenbaum (1845-1918) – a Russian historian, a bibliographer, literary critic and publicist.
This collection included the book of E.G. Vaidenbaum “Caucasian Studies”, selected essays of different years on various issues of Caucasia, as well as interesting articles on the stay of the poet A.S. Pushkin in the Caucasus.
At the beginning of the book, a large biographical essay is placed, telling about the life and activities of E. G. Waidenbaum. The texts of the essays and articles of E. G. Waidenbaum are given in accordance with modern spelling and published with minor corrections and additions.
