Ashes of words. Volume 1: Alexander Velichansky

The two -volume “Pepels of Words” is the most complete edition of the poems of the poet Alexander Velichensky (1940-1990). Over a quarter of a century of creative work, he created more than two dozen poetic collections. They are small in volume, but each of them is a whole book with their plot, figurative system and composition.
The work of A. Velichansky is distinguished by a variety of poetic genres, interest in folklore elements, sensitivity in the historical, metaphysical and existential aspects of human being. His poetics gravitates to paradoxical, to semantic and intellectual tension, to the way, daring to push the boundaries of our consciousness, perception and understanding of the world.
