Twice was excluded from the Union of Artists for “formalism”. Many of his paintings in museums were destroyed, and he himself was forty years old, not having the opportunity to participate in exhibitions. But his workshop was opened to people, those who wanted to see real, living art came there.
In the spring of 2013, the personal exhibition of Valery Kaperev was held in the Tretyakov Gallery. She opened the world of a bright, original and surprisingly contemporary artist!
The author of the book was friends for many years with Kaperev and his wife, the poet Lyudmila Oknazova, was a participant in many described events.
