The book is devoted to the formation of the architecture of a modern mosque, the best examples of which are conflicting with the classical mosque of the Arab or Iranian type. A full examination of the entire corps of modern mosques is not included in the author’s task. The mosque is initially aimed at the transformativity of its form, even seemingly indisputable forms in the interior are transformed. For example, at present, the votes of architects from Muslim countries are heard about the possibility of a dispensed with Mihrab and Minaret. Hence the conclusion – the mosque is always incomparable to itself, based on these considerations, the whole book is devoted to the problem of the interaction of tradition and innovation, the past, present and future in the architectural image of the mosque. The reader must understand that we live during the active existence of the international architecture of temples, this architecture and its conceptual foundations are well developed by leading architects of the 20th century.
