This publication contains the correspondence of V. S. Pecherin (“Russian Catholic”) with parents, S. F. Vysarov, A. V. Nikitin and F. V. Chizhov, covering the period from August 1851 to January 1878. This is a complex that includes the most complete collection of the epistolary heritage of V. S. Pecherin and, accordingly, the most complete and reliable information about the circumstances of his life and ideological search, is an autobiography created by him the self -portrait of a “little lost person”, which he was in reality and allows you to show the costs of the formation of Russian social consciousness and put up with many literary myths about him. V. S. Pecherin – was a military, then an official of tsarist Russia, a teacher, and after leaving abroad, he first became a missionary, and then a Catholic priest. All correspondence, with the exception of memoirs, is published for the first time according to archival sources.
