In this training manual, a course of lectures has been presented by the author at the philosophical and historical faculties of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in 2008-2009 and reflecting the path of development of the Greek-Syrian Christian thought as an independent philosophical and God-word tradition, based on its own foundations and continuing some trends in ancient philosophy. The manual was reflected in the most important philosophical achievements of the Antioch school – the methodological synthesis of BL. Theodorite of Kirsky and the experience of axiological constructions in the moral and expirational method of St. John Chrysostom; The historical formation of the Antioch approach to the issues of hermeneutics is presented. The theoretical course of the manual is based on the materials of fundamental domestic and foreign studies dedicated to the history of Greek-Syrian patrician thought.
