This manual highlights the fundamental issues of modern biology (the essence of life, its molecular foundations, genetic information, ontogenesis, evolution) and anthropology (human place in living nature, anthropogenesis, phylogenetic heritage in human behavior, brain evolution and psyche). The place of anthropology in the system of humanity is shown, the ways of the synthesis of natural-scientific and humanitarian approaches to the study of man are considered. As an example of such a synthesis, material on ecology and system analysis is presented.
