This book is the first fundamental monograph on the work of Alexei Yavlensky, an outstanding Russian artist of the twentieth century. Having left Russia back in 1896 and settling for many years in Munich, he very early “natural” became a member of the world artistic experiment of the beginning of the 20th century – the era when the history of contemporary art was happening. He was one of her creators.
