“Against the interpretation” – the collection of the essay Susan Sontag, who made it famous. Sontag was almost the first to raise the question of the absence of an impassable wall between the “high” and “low” culture, and the “notes on Camp” and the essay “On the style” formed a whole era in the history of critical thought of the twentieth century. The book “Against Interpretation”, first published in 1966, still remains one of the most impressive examples of cartography of the cultural space of the past century.
