Rev. Efrem Sirin (IV century) is one of the great holy fathers of the Church. The ascetic life that he chose taught him to endlessly and patiently endure the temptations and be the humble Promotion of God, and over time he himself became a teacher of repentance, faith and good life for many. The simplicity of faith and the power of the words of the Monk Ephraim attracted and attract to his creations many those who seek wisdom saving for the soul. Most of his scriptures are thoughts of repentance as a creative work on himself. With a careful and sympathetic reading of the creations of the Monk Ephraim, they so affect the soul of the reader that determination appears seriously, in a Christian way to update the inner world.
