118 Psalm. Guide to spiritual life compiled by the interpretation of 118 psalm: Theophanes Saint

Saint Theophanes (Govorov), the recluse of Vyshensky (1815 – 1894) is the true light of Orthodoxy. Until today, his works to interpret the Holy Scriptures, ascetic creations, spiritual letters, instructions and sermons enlighten human souls and direct them to salvation.
The work of St. Theophan the Recluse “Interpretation on 118 Psalm” is the guide leadership of Christian life. The saint himself, in the preface to this book, wrote that 118 Psalm offers Christians “a single useful teaching and shows how to succeed in active virtue.” For the first time, “118 Psalm” of Bishop Theophanes began to be published in the magazine “Home Conversation” in 1874. Separately, the book was published for the first time in 1877 in St. Petersburg.
The book will be useful to all the foundations of Orthodoxy, asceticism and the teachings of the Orthodox Church about salvation.
