This manual, consisting of a book and audio cassettes, allows you to master the skills of listening in a short time. On the cassette, texts for listening are recorded, well read by the English language native. The book gives a variety of tasks and exercises for each text recorded on the cassette, as well as methodological recommendations for preparing for listening, auditing and controlling understanding. The second part of the book provides the full text of the audio recordings (to facilitate listening at the initial stage and self -control). The appendix gives a brief dictionary of names of its own and geographical names and the English-Russian dictionary. The book is intended for high school students and first -year students.
