The work of the outstanding Russian artist Alexei Kondratievich Savrasov is inseparable from the history of the landscape painting of Russia, and his life is inextricably linked with Moscow. It was in Zlatovalova that deserved glory came to him, and then unjustified persecution, but Moscow was also connected with Moscow, joyful, joyful time for the artist – years of study and teaching at the Moscow School of Painting and Sculpture.
His paintings “The Losynaya Island in Sokolniki”, “The Pechersky Monastery near Nizhny Novgorod”, “Rooks flew”, “Sukharev Tower”, like a song that is either joyful, then anxious, or more often calm, wise, filled with a quiet and bright sadness inherent in the Russian land, the landscape of Russia. A.K. Savrasov is characterized by an exceptionally subtle sense of nature. Until the last days of his life, he remained a poet artist who, with his works, statements, and the work of the teacher, approved the significance of the landscape realistic school.
