The line of the 19th-XX centuries was marked by a surge of public interest in architecture, the revival of attitude towards it as a mother of art, to a high-style source, which in turn led to the emergence of a new version of architecturocentrism and the birth of new urban planning utopias.
The second book on the urban planning art of Russia in the middle of the XIX – early twentieth centuries analyzes the relationship between different types of settlements (city, village, estate, resort city, factory villages, country towns, railways, etc.), which determine the uniqueness of Russian urban planning.
Particular attention is paid to garden and park art as an independent field of architectural creativity.
Radical restructuring is described in the history of Russian cities, which they survived from 1830 to 1910, when eclecticism, modern and neoclassicism, perise by the foreboding of the avant-garde, came to replace the regular planning and geometrically correct, clear structure.
