The apostle of love. Gospel of John

The Apostle of Love is called St. John the Theologian, the youngest of the twelve disciples of Christ. Being a teenager, John believed in Christ and devoted his whole life to teach people his main commandment to love each other.
The nickname of the theologian Apostle John received for his gospel, in which he stated not only the events of the earthly life of Jesus Christ, but the exalted and thoughtful speeches of God and the conversations of the Savior about the spiritual revival in the Holy Spirit. For this, the Gospel of John is called the Gospel of the Spiritual, and St. John the Theologian is depicted on the icons with the eagle: just as the eagle soars high in heaven, so Ioann rises to the highest religious truths in his gospel.
