People tend to think about themselves well. Usually even better than they really are. This applies to entire peoples, always trying to form the most positive opinion of themselves. But not to the Russians, with amazing masochism, cultivating the most negative stereotypes about themselves, with reference to the classics: everyone says, they “drink”, “steal” (karamzin), “lazy and unscrewed” (Pushkin), they want them to have a “out -of -hand” …
