The book presents an artistic review of the curious places of the Moscow Region, mainly its western region, and the fate of the famous inhabitants of these places. The memory beam highlights directions, today indicated by the famous highways of the Rublevo-Uspensky, Mozhaisk, Minsk, Novo-Riga, Ilyinsky, Krasnogorsk and Pyshkinsky. These directions are combined into the general name – the royal road. This way they went hunting and made hiking pilgrims to the Savvino-Silzhevsky monastery to worship the relics of St. Savva Zvenigorodsky Russian kings. The royal road is sung in Pushkin’s poetry, in Tchaikovsky’s music, in the painting of Levitan.
