Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930) – one of the brightest Russian poets of the 20th century, also known as a playwright, film science, film director, film actor, artist, editor of the magazines “Lef” (“Left Front”) and “New Lef”. In his articles, Mayakovsky was uncompromising, honestly drawing the image of a new “Soviet” writer. In the essays written by him in the late 1920s, tragic motifs began to arise. Critics called him only a “fellow traveler”, and not a “proletarian writer”, as he wanted to see himself. The same motives responded to his diaries.
