The poet, an essayist, translator, publicist Vladimir Bereyazev was born in Prokopyevsk (Kuzbass) in 1959. The author of eight poetic collections and a novel in the verses of Mogota. Published in many Russian and foreign magazines: “New World”, “Our Contemporary”, “Moscow”, “Ural”, “Foreign Notes”, “Khreshchatyk” (Germany); “New Russian Word” (USA) and others. From 1990 to 1997. He was the director of the Mangazey publishing house. Currently, the editor -in -chief of the magazine “Siberian Lights”.
The book included poems, for the most part created during the years of the crash of the Soviet Empire. The lyrical experience of the poet captured the tragic era of broken and collapse and, against the backdrop of these events, a kind of prohibitive spontaneous-rod tension of the forces of the inhabitants of the Russian continent. Over the years, these verses have been nourished with new meanings, without having lost either lyrical tension or relevance.
“Chalice and Belt” is the tenth book of the poet.
