In the religious painting of Carlo Krielly (1430/1435-1495), the ideals of the feudal-fishing culture of the late Middle Ages were embodied and an individual manner of writing, gravitating to the Gothic style. At the same time, the masters and the traditional techniques of painting of the largest artistic centers of Northern Italy: Venice, Padui, and the provinces of Marka were also inherited in heritage. It was in these places that Krievelli’s creative life was held, it was here that he created his famous altar compositions depicting graceful Madonns and elegantly dressed saints.
