The tenth collection of the series “From the History of International Relations of Russian Literature”, published since 1967, is dedicated to the era of the thirties of the XX century, when the interconnections of Russian Soviet culture with the West were carried out in the specific conditions of totalitarianism. The articles of the collection consider the ideological foundations of cultural interaction with foreign countries as a state “project”, the organization of a translated book publishing, visiting our country by Western – “right” and “left” intellectuals, a reception of works of foreign authors by Russian criticism and readers.
