The book talks about the history of Ukraine and Crimea in 1918 – early 1919. The monographs consider political processes in Ukraine and Crimea, the focus of the author’s attention is the history of the Ukrainian power of the hetman P.P. Skoropadsky, the German occupation of Ukraine, the ideology of the hetman, the relationship of Skoropadsky with the Russian white movement, the prerequisites of the French intervention in the south of Russia and the reasons for its failure, the specifics of the development of the revolutionary process in the Crimea, the reasons for the collapse of the generals of generals Skoropadsky and Sulkevich. The work is based on a wide range of both published documentary sources and archival materials extracted from GARF, RGVA, RGA of the Navy, the houses of Russian abroad Alexander Solzhenitsyn, TsGAVOU of Ukraine and a number of other archives. The monograph is addressed to both specialists and a wide circle of readers interested in Russian history.
