The phenomenological method and boundaries of its applicability, the dynamics of ideas about the phenomenological method in German and French phenomenology are investigated. The specifics of phenomenological studies of hetero- and authenticity, the competence of phenomenological theology are considered. The basic concepts of phenomena developed in French phenomenology are analyzed.
