The Russian officers of the XIX – early XX century. There was a tradition to publish the history of its regiment. The total number of regimental stories exceeds two hundred. They trace the combat path of the Guards and Army units in detail. The lists of officers of the regiment and other documents are usually attached. When writing regimental stories, regimental archives and memories of officers were widely involved. Since most of these materials have been lost, this complex of publications is a valuable source for the history of the Russian army. In addition, this is a wonderful monument of Russian culture of its time. He demonstrates a high level of education of the best representatives of the Russian officer corps, which allowed them to state complex material at a good scientific level.
Most of these books are now inaccessible. The full set cannot be found in any library. The Nestor-History Publishing House set the task of making a complex of regimental stories by the property of specialists and all those interested in the history of the Russian army.
